OSX update reaps CS2 performance improvements on Intel Apple Macs

Changing Photoshop layer and brush opacity quickly

There are quite a few shortcuts for the layers palette, the most important ‘everyday’ ones are to change layer opacity without using the slider at the top.

Changing layer opacity quickly is important when using Photoshop - but it’s really annoying having to go over to the slider at the top of the layers palette. It’s so much better to just keep an eye on the image and use keyboard shortcuts!

Shortcuts for viewing and moving around your images quickly

It is so much quicker to navigate around you image using Photoshop keyboard shortcuts, plus it looks cool when people are looking over your shoulder!

Seriously though, these are useful for any user and should be amongst the first shortcuts you learn. You will never need to reach for that zoom tool again once you have these in your shortcut arsenal!

More precise curve adjustments for colour correction in Photoshop

Curve adjustments are the most precise way to alter and correct certain colour issues in images. If you are trying to alter a certain problematic area of colour, locating this on the curve can be a bit hit and miss… but of-course there is an easy way to find this out!
